Thai gold is strictly regulated by the government and is bought and sold around the country at many independent and larger chains of gold shops that you can find almost as easily as a 7-Eleven.  Thai gold is all solid 0.965 (96.5%) fine gold, which is equivalent to more than 23 karat gold.  The remaining 3.5% is a mixture of silver and copper to give the jewelry some resilience.

This is a curb style bracelet probably intended for a man.  It is size "7".  It was bought directly from a gold shop chain called "Aurora" which has a presence in many malls and other locations around Bangkok, Pattaya, and other cities in Thailand.  Apart from being shown in the video for this listing, this item has not been worn.  It fits an adult 6-foot-tall man's wrist just fine, as shown in the video, with some slack.  It has a bendable "S" style clasp for opening and closing it that can easily be manipulated open or closed by the wearer with the left non-dominant hand.

This chain weighs 7.58 grams, known as a "half baht".  A "baht" in gold is a unit of measure (different from the current currency unit in Thailand that is also called a "Baht").  A gold "baht" is 15.2 grams of 0.965 gold.  Jewelry is often slightly off from this, as is this piece, which weights 0.02 grams under a perfect 7.60 gram "half baht".  Each link has a fine textured surface shown in the video and some of the close-up pictures.  

The "Actual Gold Weight" (AGW) of this piece is 0.235 Troy Ounce of fine gold.  We arrive at this by taking the gross weight of the piece, 7.58, and multiplying that by 0.965, which equals 7.3147, and then dividing that amount by the number of grams of fine 0.999 gold in a troy ounce of 0.999 fine gold, which is 31.104, and, that comes out to 0.235169.  So the "AGW" of this piece is 0.235, which is just shy of a quarter ounce of pure gold.  This is best compared to the "AGW" of a British Sovereign coin, which has an "AGW" of 0.2355.
